- On traffic changes:”People are not going to be able to get out of their office buildings, they aren’t going to be able to make left turns. There’s going to be light preemption — they say there’s not going to be, I don’t believe them. You can start sitting there for two or three cycles.”
- On Uptown office tenants:”These dedicated bus lanes on Post Oak will speed the exodus to other counties. If you make it impossible for people to get into and out of here, they are going to get out of here.”
- On the possibility of rail:”I have seen the devastation the light rail brought to downtown and will bring to east side. This is not rail, but I am convinced that these bus lanes are a prescursor to rail.”
- Why people won’t ride:”I just don’t think that people are going to drive to Westpark, park their car and be 20 minutes at best from their office. Why would you do that? Why would you get off on Post Oak and take your life in your hands to cross the street?”
